Photo Manipulation and Ethics

A) The website shows many manipulated photos and explains how difficult it is to find photos that have not been manipulated in some way. The article goes on explain how to be ethical when changing photos and how to avoid extreme manipulation when it comes to photography.

B) These newspapers provide all their photographers with very strict guidelines when it comes to taking photos and editing them to avoid major photo manipulation.

C) I think if the subject of the photo or who you are taking it of agrees to slightly change their physical appearance it is acceptable as well as cropping, brightening or possibly adding vibrance to an image.

D)

I believe this is the most unethical photo out of all the manipulated photos provided. This image would be very inappropriate for a political leader to have taken and this photo could have hurt her and made her lose her job and it is not even her. I think many people may have found it offensive and blamed Sarah Palin even though she had nothing to do with it.

E)

I find this photo the least unethical. Although the photo is being manipulated it does not hurt or offend anyone. This photo did not change the way anyone looked and was just edited to add someone in.
